About Us

Wishing Treats Caramel Studio was started by Amir and Saima Hassan after a trip to Europe where they happened across some confectionery artists. They saw the positive and memorable impact these treats had on their audience.

Amir and Saima wanted to create a responsible luxury indulgence that brought together the old-world technique of caramel art and modern holistic practices. Artisans at Wishing Treats Caramel Studio have trained for years to master this complicated and intricate craft.

Everything is handcrafted in Delta, BC with Vegan, organic ingredients, and fair-trade sugar so you feel great sharing your treats.

We source our colour and flavour extracts straight from fruits and plants.

Even our citric acid (the thing that makes some our treats mouth-wateringly sour) is sourced from citrus fruits themselves. No man-made chemicals or synthetic oils for us!

We believe sugar has one place in our diets — as a treat – not in our day-to-day food like pasta sauce, salad dressing, or soup.

All our treats are also Gluten-free, daily-free, peanut-free, non-GMO, halal, kosher, and kind to critters.

Meet Our Team

We started the Wishing Treats journey in 2013, when Amir Hassan was inspired during a trip to Europe by a caramel artisan who was working on a large sugar sculpture. He wanted to bring confectionary art to a wider audience, so he brought his friend of nearly 30 years on board.  Wes Raley is a 10 year veteran of candy design, and he moved his family to BC from Florida to launch the company.
